Is there anybody out there?

Can anybody hear?

I'm calling to the stars above

Is there a friend who's near?

I'm reaching out into the dark

Can someone light my way?

I feel so small, a tiny spark

But I'll keep calling anyway

Why am I here? What's my part?

In this great world, how do I start?

There's so much more than I can see

But what's this world meant to be?

Why do I feel so happy?

And why do I feel blue?

Why do smiles and teardrops b

Oth come through?

Why do I feel so empty?

And why do I get mad?

How can the world feel

Both lovely and sad?

I look up high at skies so wide

And wonder if I fit inside

How will someone as small as me

Be noticed in a grand story?

Why do we laugh? Why do we cry?

Is there a reason stars light the sky?

Why does each heart feel joy and pain?

And why does the sunshine follow the rain?

There's magic here, I know it's true

In all the little things we do

I may be small, just a speck

But this journey will help me reflect

So I'll keep searching, day and night

Trusting someday I'll see the light

With every step, I'll find my way

And see the dawn of a brighter day
