by Ed RivadaviaThe U.K.'s installment of Helloween's live mini-album triple assault of 1989 was by far the most rewarding of the bunch, and collected most of their biggest hits at the time (Dr. Stein, I Want Out, A Little Time, etc.). Another cartoon cover can't mask the throwaway feel of these recordings, but quite honestly, the grimace-inducing Rise and Fall is the only real loser of the bunch. Sound-wise, these recordings are clear and punchy, but one hardly gets a sense that they make up a definitive live album in any way. For that, seek out Helloween's double disc live set of the late '90s, High Live.
