成立于2005年的瑞典旋律黑金属团Irminsul在经过两张EP的历练之后带来了他们的首长全长作品。这是一张旋律流畅优美的专辑，惊艳的小提琴和各类嗓音的搭配是其最大的亮点，从来到尾都展现着乐团扎实的编排功底。我的印象中瑞典金属团一向是以技术严谨曲风硬朗而著称的，能出产这样飘逸惊艳的作品还是让人有些惊讶的。另外，我在Irminsul的作品还感受到了德国维金团Black Messiah的气息。In October 2005 four guys named Robin, Guzten, Jonas and Josef started a band together. Robin and Guzten was already creating music in a two-man project and it was at this time the song “Svikaren” wich later was recorded and appeared on their first demo “Vinterskalder” was written. Irminsul had at this time their rehearsal local and headquarter in a sommerhut that also has the function of being Robins home. Josef (guitar) played with the band for about six month before he left due to time issues and the band became a trio. Irminsul kept on struggeling and released two demos “Vinterskalder” and “Urberg” before they signed a three album record deal with Det Germanske Folket. The band soon discovered that their music could not be performed live until they found some more member, so a lot of different musicians (guitarists, violinists, keyboardists) was tried out but none of these gentlemens and ladies really fitted with the band. But around midsummer 2007 the guitarist and Italian guy Giulio “Julle” Laurenzi joined the band and soon he became a steady member.
