Taylor is a more than capable vocalist, and his playing as always walks the fine line between blues and rock bombast. Most revealing is the laid-back Never Fall in Love Again, a wistful change of pace from the stronger electric side of this very rock-oriented blues album. Other highlights include Lost in the Desert, Late at Night, and Blind Willie McTell.
