I decided to purchase Da lench Mob's Planet of the Apes back in 1992, not because I knew who they were, but when I browsing through the Hip-Hop section, I saw that Ice Cube had produced this CD, and I thought I give it a shot. Not only was that appealing, there were 3 guys on the back of the album cover with full fledge ski mask's on, I and thought, man this album is going to be hard as hell. The album didn't dissapoint. Not only was the album hard as hell (the opening track starts off with a hard beat and some guy talking about execution styles used) but the group showed some real talent on the mic. This would be a short lived project, as Da Lench Mob only stuck around for another album, yet this is one that Hip-Hop fans shouldnt let pass by. Even though its been 14yrs since its release, its still classic Hardcore Hip-Hop, and I cant reccomend it enough to people that are fans of the genre. ENJOY
