The title track is an uptempo workout in the vein of the classic midwest dance music of the 80s like Larry Heard and Derrick May, while The Receiver harkens back to a more boogie-oriented feel, complete with glistening unpredictable splashes of synths on top of a warm bass groove and evolving drum rhythm.
