In early 2007, we met the young dutch producer Koos Ludwig in Berlin and since then become friends. A few weeks later we had a listening session at our house and he played us some of the best electronic music we have heard so far from his harddrive. The tracks blew our minds - and after some time we succeeded getting hold of the extremely talented berlin based mate behind the deep bass lines, ultracool percussions and the heavy emotions. The tracks Koos produces could be best described as a perfect blend inbetween reduced darkness and mystery - coming together with a perfect mix of organic house elements, all arranged in a modern way. Minimal music with a detailed, complex and storytelling sound - creating a balance between listening and dancefloor in a own perception. Every single track has Ion Ludwig style trademark and fills the gaps inbetween reduced dancefloor tunes and an early morning pearl. No big time genuine peaktime pleaser but all characterized by nodding deep grooves and tripping storytellers which will make all music nerds move their heads in synchrony. The length of the tracks differs inbetween 7 and 13 minutes. Most impressive the extremely outstanding desert rose with mysterious vocals and wonderful deep beats.
