1991年Love Tambourines結成。1993年CRUE-L Recordsからデビュー。
アルバム「ALIVE」で、当時のインディーズとしては異例の10万枚以上のセールスを記録するも1995年に解散。
翌年ELLIEでソロデビューし、藤原ヒロシや斎藤圭市とのユニットでの活動を経て、名前をeliに改名。
2007年よりソロでライブ活動を開始。同年11月、eli名義でアルバム「rita」リリース。
中塚武と"Hati Hati Ya"コラボ
精力的にライヴや唄のワークショップ、製作をこなす。
