G-FrSH is a ferocious learner. It’s the kind of ambition that got him a scholarship to an elite private school whilst he was still living on an estate in Brixton. It’s the same ambition that forced him to devour books on rhyme patterns, poetry and song structure to become a better rapper. His breakthrough mixtape LEGOMAN made a lot of A&Rs as well as the streets stand up and take notice – now LEGOMAN II looks to blow a lot of people’s preconceptions straight out of the water. 
It was that mix of artistic license at public school combined with the street education every night that pulled G-FrSH apart, trying to find the perfect balance between art and soul. He was listening to a lot of James Blake and Hurts making LEGO MAN II: perhaps unusual choices for the usual rap artist but not for G-FrSH – tracks like ‘Tape Out’ and ‘Never Can I’ give an insight into how the artistic side to his music has been affected by such influences, whilst collaborations with UK stars Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32 and Krept & Konan show where he is in terms of urban underground credibility. 
Notably, it’s G-FrSH’s aptitude for business that has helped set him apart from so many other UK rappers: a self-made man following his degree in economics from UCL, his dedication to learning his art and the skill required to monetise it has enabled him not only to form his own successful clothing brand alongside his growing music catalogue, it’s also allowed him to act as patron for up and coming producers and artists. In fact, so influential is his reputation in Brixton that he has become a local community leader, working with charities such as Community Youth London to mentor local kids and teenagers. His desire to push boundaries and better his own life has seen his music develop on a linear scale and made G-FrSH a very notable player indeed: now LEGO MAN II, with its mix of artistic flair and London realness is set to propel G-FrSH to the upper echelons of the UK scene.
