Behind The Lights is a metalcore band from Stockholm that was founded in 2012 by the bass player and singer Johannes Eghammar with his younger brother Erik (former lead guitarist). Soon after the start they released two demo songs (My Reflection and 911) with purpose of finding additional members.Luckily enough the drummer was only a phone call away since Johannes and Sebastian knew each other. During the fall they searched for a rhythm guitarist, Johan came to audition and pretty soon became a member of the family. What started out as an at-home project quickly escalated into what it is today, a hard working and ambitious quartet. In the end of the year they entered the studio to record there debut EP “Our Own King”. Before their debut gig at Emergenza festival at Klubben/Fryshuset in Stockholm Erik decided to leave the band due to personal reasons. Luckily their good friend Jonathan Thorpenberg from The Seven Year Itch was happy to stand in.
 
Shortly thereafter Jonas Olsson claimed the spot as lead guitarist and debuted with the band at Kafé 44. They went back to the studio to finish the recording of the ”Our Own King” with a complete line-up to later head out on the metal scene and make their imprint. ”Our Own King” is recorded by Chris “Keno” Holm, mixed and mastered by Dino Medanhodzic with bands like Aim For The Sunrise, Heading Back Home, Her bright skies, The Seven Year Itch and Surviving The Charade on his resume.
 
The band delivers the whole shebang for both eyes and ears with an energetic presence on stage. A great show with cool riffs, heavy breakdowns, speedy verses, catchy and melodic choruses witch metal fans is guaranteed to love!
 
The band writes and plays their music to honor and celebrate all children, families, brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers. Show respect, love, preserve and take care of one another.
 
Johannes Eghammar lives with his son in Stockholm. Previously in his music career he was the lead singer in The Seven year Itch from Eskilstuna and is participating on their album ”Beyond this life”. He got his first guitar at age 14 and has ever since wanting to get on stage.
 
Sebastian Bergquist is the drummer of the band and lives with his son in Stockholm. Previously he has been the drummer of the punkabilly band Rockits and is participating on the album ”Love around the globe”. He knew music and instruments before he could crawl.
 
Jonas Olsson is the former guitarist of All Rumours Are True and has playing guitar for a decade. He moved down to Stockholm in 2011 after realizing Kramfors didn't have anything left to offer. Besides music he's also a car enthusiast.
 
Johan Cedborger moved to Stockholm in 2012 to start a new chapter in his life. He is a former member of A Change In Mind from Eskilstuna and is into his workouts and enjoys sailing.
