Originally from the Space Coast of Florida, Kevin Donahue, Brian Brown, and their friends formed a band in Kevins parents garage in Merritt Island. After graduating high school, the band relocated to Orlando while attending school at UCF. Despite building a solid fan base throughout a year of playing shows, including one at The State Theatre in St. Pete, Call To Start decided they needed to go in a different direction. They made the switch from male to female vocalist by bringing Madison McFarland in. Since her arrival, Call To Start has shared the local stage with bands such as Artist Vs Poet and Set It Off. Shortly after recording their debut EP in Fall 2013, growing pains hit the band, and Brian decided it was best for him to not be a permanent member of Call To start. The EP was delayed, but but released in the Summer of 2014. After playing a few shows with Brian to support the release, Call To Start welcomed in Sam Johnston, and he became a permanent member of Call To Start in Spring 2015. Later that year, it was announced that Call To Start had been selected to perform at the Orlando Vans Warped Tour date, courtesy of the Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands.
