In a city with thousands of talented bands, it takes more nowadays than following the latest indie rock sub-genre trends or blitzing the town with flyers to stand out in austin.
The band members of THE KHOST, one of Austin's newest up-and-coming bands, don't care about trends. They don't need to, and have never been tempted.
Instead, by utilizing the full banquet of what indie music offers as far as encouraging experimentation with genres and various styles - whether it's combining classic rock guitars with fuzzy key notes or variations of acoustics and digital samples -  THE KHOST offer music fans something new and original, and with that they have managed to carve out a name for themselves in the Austin and south-central Texas DIY scene, performing nearly weekly in Austin and throughout the region, including a number of SXSW showcases.
