Ahmaad shows confidence that he will beat all odds. His musical influences are a list that includes artists like Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Donell Jones. Ahmaad bridges the sounds of R&B’s most influential artists with experiences of his past romantic relationships. 
From the first track, Ahmaad gives us a cover of Donell Jones’ classic “Where I Wanna Be” that features Donell himself, setting the tone for a smooth urban soul sound. We’re taken on a train of love, hate and passion; the R&B singer opens up about his struggle with losing love and finding a way to get it all back. 
In a short skit titled “All for Nothing”, we feel turmoil when Ahmaad decides to give up on his battle with the lady in his life. 
“Love Goes On” has its charms, echoing an urban flow with a light touch of pop. A few teaks on the lyrical content would be able to turn this EP into a more believable understanding of what is to be in love. Vulnerabilty is key for an R&B artist with any hopes of reaching levels similar to Usher’s Confessions album circa 2004. Give us the nitty-gritty of where love has taken you, yes, even those dark, close to feeling never ending nights.
