Stella Bass is a classically-trained singer, pianist and producer, whose versatile repertoire crosses over jazz, classical and musical theatre. She has performed in theatres and venues all over Ireland, as well as in the UK, France, Austria, Greece and the Middle East, and has TV/radio credits including The Late Late Show, Ireland AM, Open House, Let Me Entertain You, The Pat Kenny Radio Show and Theatre Nights. A graduate of University College Dublin, she has also completed both her music diploma and singing exams in the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
One of the rising stars of jazz in Ireland, she has performed in the Cork Jazz Festival on several occasions, most recently with with the Dublin City Jazz Orchestra, who played on the Late Late Show with jazz legend Buddy Greco. She regularly sings on a Monday evening with the HotHouse Bigband in the Mercantile Hotel, who were recently also featured on RTE's flagship show, and has a long-standing Sunday residency with her jazz quartet in Dublin's cosmopolitan Cafe en Seine, for their jazz brunch from 2-4pm. Amongst the other events at which Stella has been invited to perform include the RBS Six Nations 2014, the Ryder Cup at the K Club and the Heineken Cup. She has just launched her debut jazz album, "Too Darn Hot", available to buy on the link above.
Stella is the preferred supplier of jazz music for two of Ireland's top luxury 5* hotels; The Merrion Hotel and the Powerscourt (formerly Ritz-Carlton) Hotel, Enniskerrry.
