Anyone can identify with the dilemma of Saint Rebel, since we all carry the two sides within: On one hand the polite, generous and patient angel, who never lets anything but loving and caring lead her way - and on the other hand the obscure, selfish devil, who defies every rule and obeys nothing but his own will and lust. When these two clash; inspiration is given birth to. And from this inspiration came Saint Rebel, capturing the conflict between the need to please and the temptation to break free.
Saint Rebel’s music drifts between these two poles and every now and then unites them. High energy heart-beating drums, tight emotions through the guitars and a blasting bass often shifts into softer, pleasingly catchy melodies - still tied up by the drums, never fully leaving the genre of hard rock.
Unlike nearly any other rock band; Saint Rebel is not trying to create a “new sound”. Rather, the energy is spent on playing music with a nerve that brings one of the oldest struggles of human kind to life, and carries it straight to the listener: the never ending conflict of the saint and the rebel.
