英国新晋Powerpop团体Biographyby Jon O'BrienDespite little mainstream support, Essex trioTwenty Twentybuilt up a huge teen following thanks to their clever use of social networking andBusted/McFly-esque punk-pop sound. The band formed in 2009 when brothers, lead vocalist and guitaristSamand bassist Jack Halliday, invited drummer Sonny Watson-Lang to join the band which had inspired them to put their university studies on hold. Inspired by the likes ofblink-182andthe Jonas Brothers, they began touring extensively across the U.K., supportedSaving AimeeandGo:Audio, and released two independent EPs, Forever, and Raise Your Hands, before signing a deal with Geffen Records. Utilizing their online presence, they streamed the recording of their debut album with Preston (the Ordinary Boys), Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue), and Julian Emery (Lissie) on their MySpace page and released their first major-label single, "Worlds Apart," in 2010.
