Steve Geyer learned to do comedy as a way to cope with the trials of an abusive home and painful childhood. He traveled for 20 years performing stand-up comedy. Prior to being saved, he worked as a nightclub entertainer opening for such acts as Sinbad, Billy Crystal, and Ray Romano. Steve also hosted the regional HBO Comic Relief Special in 1990
