Since winning their regional final of the RP Studio’s Emerging Sounds Competition in May of 2005, The Hellphones have leapt from obscurity to notoriety with disarming ease. 
 
The band hails from Johannesburg’s East Rand, a well-known breeding ground for rock ‘n roll mayhem. A five piece consisting of vocalist Ten-Elliot, lead guitarist Fredriguez, rhythm guitarist Joe Flow, bassist Jonzila and drummer Eddie Rastelli, The Hellphones play a startling mix of old school rock ‘n roll infused with modern guitar pop and good old fashioned attitude.
