Founder and only band member Witter Cheng is originally from Brunei, but moved to Australia in 1993. In 2000 he relocated again to Elko, Nevada.
 
Witter has stated that DxSx is intended as a studio-only project, but despite that the band made a live appearance in 1997 when they opened for Gore Beyond Necropsy on the band's Australian tour along with Warsore. The band's line-up at the time consisted of Witter on guitars and Jayde (Viscera, Australia) doing vocals.
