Once upon a time is not a fairy tale, is the title of the second album of singer-songwriter Shani Ormiston an álbum with a european dance-pop sound with 10 songs in English with lyrics full of honesty, catchy melodies and a lot of magic. This album has already won several awards and has achieved 5 nominations in the past years to the independent music awards "Hollywood Music in Media Awards". Shani atended this year to Hollywood, California, with the songs "Once Upon a Time" and "Brave". With this song also, "Brave", Shani won the award for “Best Soloist Musical Work 2012-13” at the Provincial Youth Awards of Alicante Diputation.
 
In 2012 she wins the award for "Best Female Artist CoatRider Music Awards” of the Costa Blanca. In October this year the young composer was invited to sing representing Spain at one of the most important festivals of independent music in Italy "Biella Festival Autori e Cantautori" in the city of Biella in northern Italy held for the fourteenth time.
 
All these successes are preceded by her first album she also composed entitled "Asi Soy Yo," recorded in 2008, year in which the singer manages make her self known in the independent music industry. After the great reception of the single of this album, her song "How do you know", also nominated to Hollywood Music Awards, Shani decided to record the song in Spanish caling "Como Saber" reaching number 1 position in the list of hits from Radio La Roda Albacete.
 
This singer has always shown solidarity collaborating in many charitable events raising money for various local and international organizations, has also written songs for fundraising such as "Fill a heart with hope" for those affected by Hurricane Typhoon in The Phillipines in November 2013. Shani has a long history of live concerts on her back, sharing the stage with artists like Cristina del Valle (Amistades Peligrosas), Joe Longthorne, Ricky Valance and Leo Segarra amongst others. She also sang in the International Gala of Class One GP Spain (Formula 1 Mar) which was broadcast live on television worldwide in 2005, the same year in which Shani Ormiston begins her short and humble, but intense music carrer.
