The Russian Sleep Experiment is a progressive & melodic metalcore band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. First off and most importantly, our music is a break of metal tradition. When you hear The Russian Sleep Experiment, there is a separation between all bands. Between the technical rhythm guitar and drum parts, the soaring guitar leads and solos, the unique high yells that no other vocalist can seem to match, and the incredible low screams, there are also calm and vivid clean guitars and beautiful melodies running throughout the music. The Russian Sleep Experiment has created a sound that no one else has been able to match, and in today’s day in age of metal, that’s exactly what you need.
Secondly, our name, The Russian Sleep Experiment, is something unique in itself. Usually bands create their own words or take certain phrases. Not us, however. We decided on a total shock factor name. The Russian Sleep Experiment has a ring to it for every single person who hears it whether it is because they've read the story it was titled or if they've heard it for the first time. I've been told by teenagers and even adults that the name was the main reason they remembered the band. Our name alone gives us a memorable dynamic for listeners.
