Low Frequency Club is a band born in the spring of 2006, with a rich, powerful and groovy sound. The band formed by Giorgi (bass, sampler and backing vocals), Bonito (drums and sampler) and Yoky (vocals, keyboards and guitar) is rooted in the funk classics but moves over electro/DFA sounds with many references to the american and french dance scene. After the first promo and an intense live gig season, LFC present Emotional Phunk (12/2006 - Polka Dots), where the funk influences are still predominant but the electro sounds start to gain space in the songs. The turning point comes with the first official full lenght album, Low Frequency Club (03/2008 - Polka Dots) where electronics become the main influence. Produced by Marco Caldera, at work with Simone Piccinelli in the preproduction phase, the album comes out togheter with “The F.Lorenz Lost Dance”, first single’s video with a really good feedback by audience and press reviews. The release is followed by a huge tour in italian clubs and festivals, where LFC share the stage with bands like SQUAREPUSHER, MEG, zZz, TUNNG and ATARI. In March 2009 the band releases Girlfriend is Better (03/2009 - Polka Dots), available on digital platforms, that features Girlfriend is Better, amazing Talkin’Heads cover, a remix by NeWavExplorers (a.k.a Mario Conte, already at work with Meg, Atari and many others..) and The Box, a theme the electro music radio program by Tommaso Toma on Radio Popolare Network. Girlfriend is Better video is broadcasted on tv channels such as ALL MUSIC, MTV BRAND NEW and QOOB TV, and has a huge success on the net. This new minirelease offers the band the opportunity to play a lot of gigs during the summer (with the last remarkable live show in MAGNOLIA PARADE 09) before the start of the new album’s recording sessions. Year 2010 starts with the new collaboration of Low Frequency Club with FOOLICA RECORDS, that begins in spring 2010 with the release of Johnny Come Home, a single containig the Low Frequency Club version of the 80’s classic by Fine Young Cannibals, the sofisticated new track Pools and two remixes of the same song: one by the british band
