Guppies are a rock band from Southern California, formed in 2005. They play noisy rock music with psychedelic and shoegaze inclinations. Their debut album, In Reference to Something Forgotten, was laboriously self-produced over the course of 16 months between 2007 and 2009. Influences include Yo La Tengo, Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, Guided by Voices, and My Bloody Valentine.
