Rachel came from a classical background as the Granddaughter of 1950s music mogul Oscar Rabin. Inspired by Blues, she jumped around the entire wind and string section before settling on her first instrument, the Clarinet. Always a keen lyricist, she was a published poet at age nine, after a teacher found her scribbling poems in school at any chance she could. As a young teenager, Rachel fell into the underground club music scene and in the smoke filled garages in London where she grew up, Rachel learnt to mix '2-Step' and Trip-Hop records on her boyfriends vinyl "Technics" decks. She later became enveloped in the london indie band scene and here is where she learnt to play the guitar and mixed all her earlier influences with her love for emo-pop, creating her own original style of pop-electronica in the lane of Lana del Ray, Amy Winehouse and Florence and the Machine.
