英国Groove/Alternative Metal乐队，组建于2011年。
Soldierfield formed in late 2011 with the aim of putting a bomb under the contemporary metal scene. Drawing on varied influences from across the rock and metal spectrum, Soldierfield released an early demo track at the turn of 2012 with producer Steve Wray and based on that one track, industry insiders were already whispering about Soldierfield being ‘ones to watch for the future’.
Their debut EP ‘Bury The Ones We Love’ featured 5 tracks showcasing the band’s blueprint of melody, harmony and hooks over an apocalyptic soundtrack of energy-fuelled guitars and warzone drums. ‘Bury The Ones We Love’ was released on 29 October 2012 on Metalbox Recordings. Soldierfield also released their debut video ‘Leave You In Dirt’, which features on Scuzz TV, and the same track was included on the cover mount CD of Metal Hammer magazine, Sept 2014.
The EP received great reviews across the board; inspiring Fireworks magazine to say: “Something that makes ‘Bury The Ones We Love’ an impressive and exciting debut is that it bristles with an urgency and energy most bands fail to muster in an entire career”.
And Zero Tolerance magazine to say: "Leigh’s voice is quite exceptional – melodic, powerful and passionate – and is the perfect accompaniment to the huge, driving riffs that are at the heart of the Soldierfield sound".
Soldierfield consists of musicians with an impressive catalogue of past and present bands including Rise To Addiction, BLAZE, Paradise Lost, Robin Gibb, Order of Voices, Kill II This, among others.
Led from the front by a highly charged vocal performance from Leigh Oates, armed to the teeth with riff upon riff from Andy Trott and Steve Wray, and featuring Jeff Singer on drums and Wayne Banks on bass, Soldierfield are a frightening proposition live. Appearances at SOS Festival and support slots with Black Light Burns and Sinnergod have thrust the band into the spotlight with their ferocious live performances.
Soldierfield’s debut album ‘Catharsis’ will be released in November 2014, via Metalbox Recordings. Again produced by Steve Wray (Livewire Music Productions), the album features 10 tracks that showcase the band’s sophisticated song writing talent from the slab heavy ‘The Only War’ to the reflective and truly beautiful title track ‘Catharsis’, the album is sheer quality.
Says Leigh; ‘I’m very proud of this album, we’ve really pushed ourselves with the song writing and have really tried to capture the vibe we have live, we didn’t overthink it, we just pushed ourselves to bring out the raw performances. Steve then put this beast together!’
