Clear Horizon is the collaborative project of Jessica Bailiff and Dave Pearce, formerly of Flying Saucer Attack. Pearce spent most of the 1990s with Flying Saucer Attack, and doesn't like to refer to it anymore because he considers it to have been a waste of his time. Bailiff has been in a couple bands including Eau Claire and Northern Song Dynasty, and has worked with Low on several occasions.  
 
Clear Horizon began when Bailiff and Pearce began exchanging tapes across the Atlantic Ocean. Their debut album, Clear Horizon, released in November 2003, is the result of two years of tape swapping. Both Bailiff and Pearce contribute vocals and guitar and Pearce does percussion as well. So far, a second album has not been announced and many critics have written Clear Horizon off as a one-time collaboration.
