Afterlife Parade is a Nashville based indie rock band.
Since Afterlife Parade’s inception in 2011, their intent has been clear: this is a band making music that inspires change, music for the people by the people. What started out as a concept in the mind of Quinn Erwin has evolved from a band to a collective of individuals capturing the sound of a community that is trying to make sense of the triumphs and trials of life.
And this is a collective who could not be more excited to share this with anyone who will listen.
While receiving an engaging and overwhelmingly positive response from fans and press alike for their first concept album Death & Rebirth, Afterlife Parade has spent the last two years building an impressive resume for such a young band including being named a local lightning artist by Lightning 100, Nashville’s local independent radio station, headlining The University of Southern Mississippi’s inaugural tailgate series, gaining prominent placements for “Black Woods, White Beach” on the series premiere of MTV’s Underemployed and a St. Baldrick’s Foundation PSA announcement on Hulu, and most recently, being named a new and notable artist by Noisetrade.
Now, with the release of their latest single “Break Away,” Afterlife Parade or “AP” as they affectionately call themselves is using this new song to continue telling their story as much as they are creating a rallying cry for dreamers to keep up the fight for their dreams.
“We hope this song lays the ground work for what we’re planning for the future,” Erwin states, “We have a bigger vision than just the music that we’re starting to communicate about although the music is the integral part of what we do...we’re looking forward to sharing that with our fans and further cultivating community with them.”
Beyond the release of “Break Away,” AP is making immediate touring plans focusing on smaller house shows and smaller venues.
“We’re really excited to get on the road more, but to start out doing it in a more intimate community cultivating way,” Erwin continues, “...we would rather get to know our fans in twos and threes and then bring the rest of the band back for a larger more meaningful shows.”
