The Cast Before the Break is a five-piece ambient rock band from Albany, NY. The group's debut album, "As Your Shoulders Turn On You," was well received by both critics and fans. Now, the members of TCBTB are gearing up to release their full-length album, "Still." Recorded in the Spring of 2009 by Mike Lapierre (Brand New, Death Cab For Cutie), “Still” is a collage of moments frozen in time, remaining fixed as the world continues on around them: the image of a father losing his estranged son; a hill as the backdrop for two young children first discovering love; the landscape of a man's mind as he reaches the brink of insanity; and the thoughts of a person standing at the edge of civilization, realizing that as mankind slips away and the sun's embers finally set, we are all one in the depths of canyons.
