Taylor Project are a Melbourne country-folk band known for their idiosyncratic and pub flavoured ballads, veering between humour and pathos.
They showcase traditional folk instrumentation - shimmering lap steel, banjo, mandolin and fiddle, and a great country backline - alongside the strong female vocals of sisters Sarah and Liz Taylor. Their shows are full of true stories, catchy tunes, skilled musicianship and the occasional "nerd folk" scientific factoid.
They are most often seen at Melbourne pubs and bars, and have also played at the Maldon Folk Festival, Yackandandah Folk Festival, and the Guildford Banjo Jamboree.
