Mary walked her dog one sunny day,
The little pup had much to say.
Under every tree, behind each hedge,
Left a gift, like some messy pledge.
Sam came strolling, whistling a tune,
Stepped in the mess—what a day to ruin!
He called to Mary, \"What have you done?\"
But they laughed it off and had some fun.
Sam said, \"Mary, this can’t be right,
Your pup’s a machine, day and night!\"
Mary just smiled, \"Oh, he’s the best!\"
Sam shook his head, but joined the jest.
Now Sam and Mary stroll every week,
The pup on a leash, adventures to seek.
Under every tree, there’s still a surprise,
But now Sam just rolls his eyes.
